What is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD)?
Polycystic ovarian syndrome or disease (PCOS/PCOD) is a hormonal disorder that affects women in their reproductive age. PCOS is a common health condition that affects teens and young women, it is seen in 1 out of 10 women in their childbearing age. An imbalance within the hormones, especially Estrogen leads to a hormonal disorder called polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) among women of reproductive age.

What happens in PCOS and PCOD is that hormones become imbalanced. Both ovaries of women produce eggs in an alternate way every month. But when hormones got imbalanced, the process of ovulation of eggs also got disturbed. More follicles start to develop and the menstrual cycle stops. 1 Cup of Fresh Drinking Water in the Morning
Make sure that you are having at least 8 hours of sleep. And when you wake up in the morning, take 1 cup of fresh and normal water. This will help to flush out the stomach and balances the lymphatic system. Make sure to have a good sound sleep for 8 hours.
After drinking water, you can do a Hip Bath and exercise.
Green Juice
You can make your juice by involving the following ingredients-
2-3 tomatoes, freshly prepared juice of bottle gourd (लोकी) or cucumber (खीरा), coriander (धनिया), wild mint (पुदीना), 2-3 leaves of spinach, 12 – 15 curry leaves.
Make a juice using all these ingredients and filter it in a glass. Add 2 spoons of extra-virgin pure Olive oil or Coconut oil and some lemon to your juice. Your juice is ready. This will helps you in removing toxins from your body.
Coconut Oil
After two hours of taking green juice, take 2 spoons of extra virgin or pure Coconut Oil. This will helps you in removing toxins from your body.

Dry Fruits
After half an hour of taking coconut oil. Take some Dry Fruits.
In the combination of Dry Fruits you can take 10 -12 almonds, 2 – 3 walnuts, and along with these take 1 spoon of pumpkin seeds and 1 spoon of sesame (सफेद तिल). Soak all these dry fruits overnight in water and take them in the morning.
Make sure you chew all these dry fruits properly.
Seasonal Salads
After having dry fruits you can have seasonal salads like carrot, cucumber (खीरा), turnip (शलगम), onion, spinach, coriander, etc. You can put some black pepper and 2 spoons of pure cold-pressed olive oil in your salad and have it. It helps in balancing the imbalance caused by PCOS and PCOD.
Apple Cider Vinegar
10 minutes before taking your meal, take 1 spoon of apple vinegar in 1 cup of warm drinking water. This will helps in the excretion of toxins from your body.
Meal
After an hour of taking a heavy seasonal salad plate, you can take your meal. Your meal must include green leafy vegetables.
Instead of wheat flour, use gram flour for making Chapati. This meal will help you with the treatment of PCOS and PCOD.
After taking a meal, do not drink water for at least an hour.
Repeat the process from dry fruits to taking a meal in the evening. Instead of taking Chapati in the evening, take Porridge (दलिया) made of oat/barley/millets with some seasonal vegetables.
Decoction (काढा) of Pods of Golden Shower Tree (अमलतास की फली)
If you have constipation, then you can take a decoction of pods of Golden Shower Tree.
Method for preparing DECOCTION: Take 2 – 4 pods of the Golden Shower Tree, cut them into semi-half parts, and crush them. Put those pods in 4 cups of drinking water and boil it till 1 cup of water left. Have this decoction after filtration at night before going to sleep.
